Tips & Rules

For successful party rentals

It is important that all children and adults follow the safety rules when using inflatables. Injuries are always a possibility, no matter what you're doing, but following our simple tips below will help to ensure you and your children remain safe while having fun.

  • No food, drink or chewing gum on or around the Inflatable. This will avoid a choking risk and keep the unit clean. (Please note if the Inflatable is collected in a
dirty condition then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning charge).

  • Shoes, glasses, jewelry, and badges MUST be removed before using the inflatable to avoid injury to peoples using the equipment and harm to the Inflatable.

  • NO face paints, party poppers, colored streamers or SILLY STRING to be used either on or near the Inflatable.(Please note these products will cause damage
to the Inflatable that cannot be repaired).

  • Only 1 rider allowed at the top of water slide at a time, or 2 riders for double lane slides, 6 riders per bounce house or combo unit.

  • Bluesky Moonwalks is not responsible for striking or damaging any underground utility lines/devices (included but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, sprinkler,
etc.). It is lessee’s responsibility to tell Rental Company where inflatable is to be set up and have any underground utility lines marked prior too.

  • Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.

  • A responsible Adult must supervise the inflatable at all times.

  • Always ensure that the Inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children
from using it at the same time.

  • Ensure Children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.

  • No pets, toys or sharp instruments on the inflatable at any time.

  • Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as this is dangerous.

  • Do not allow anyone to be on the inflatable equipment during inflation or deflation as this is DANGEROUS.

  • Please ensure that Children are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately and that nothing can fall out of their pockets.

  • In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately and calmly. Check the fuses and make sure the blower tube
or deflation tube has not come undone or something has not blown onto and is obstructing the blower. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the
blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, inform us immediately.

  • THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: DO NOT let children play on the inflatable without Adult supervision. Adult supervision is necessary to enforce these rules for
    safe operation of the Inflatable.

  • Always read your rental agreement in its entirety before signing and keep it handy to refer to the details when needed.

  • Verbally ask what your responsibilities are in upholding the party rental agreement including rental return times and the required return condition of all
    equipment.

  • Ask for contact information including an after-hours contact number to call in case something goes wrong with any equipment.

  • Always verify your rental dates and delivery and pick up times before signing the rental contract.

  • Be aware of any safety requirements or laws regarding the party rental equipment in your agreement. Some equipment rentals, such as bounce houses, have
safety rules that are governed by the law to prevent injuries.

  • Book your party rental equipment early. Some items, like bounce houses and chair rentals go quickly, especially during peak party seasons like around
graduation time. Booking early ensures you get the equipment you want for your special event.

  • If you are unclear about any detail of your party rental experience, always ask. Leaving details unclear or assuming things will just work out on their own is never
a good idea when planning a party.

FAQ

Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?
A: Yes. Additional fees may apply for areas farther out. Remember prices include sales tax.

Q: How can I pay for the unit?
A: We accept Visa, and Master Credit Cards (We do charge a 3% convenience fee),and we will happily accept cash (please have exact change  as our drivers do not carry cash). Balance is due in full at the time of setup. If an Insurance Blanket needs to be issued for Parks and Schools the fee is $50.00 which is NON-REFUNDABLE and Company Policy. The delivery person will provide you with a copy of the rules review the safety procedures with you and collect final payment prior to setting up the unit.

Q: Do you deliver to other cities?
A: Yes, for an extra charge. Please call our office for a current quote.

Q: When do you set up?
A: That varies; generally we arrive 1-2 hours before the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as 4 hours in advance. If this is the case, we will call in advance to confirm that someone will be at the party location.

Q: We´ve rented some really dirty moonwalks from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
A: No.  Bluesky Moonwalks cleans and disinfects its units after every rental.

Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the jump unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That´s why we require an outlet within 50´ of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords.

Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?
A: Most parks do NOT have electricity. If you want to set up at a park, you must rent a generator. We rent generators at a reasonable cost. Also, parks are first come, first serve so get your spot early in the day.

Q: How big are the jumps?
A: All our moonwalks have its dimension next to the picture. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure it will fit. Moonwalks need room to be staked and they need room for the blower and can´t rub against walls or trees as this may damage the jump. If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup. Also, if you have an in-ground sprinkler system, make sure it is turned off and the sprinkler heads are not engaged.

Q: What surfaces do you set up on?
A: We can set up on Grass, dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can´t set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps.

Q: Can I arrange for different set up and take down times?
A: Sure! We will do our best to arrange our delivery schedule around your schedule. While we cannot accommodate these requests every time, we will work with you to ensure that you are not inconvenienced.

Q: How does the bounce stay inflated?
The moonwalk is inflated with a fully enclosed blower motor unit that must stay on the entire time the bounce unit is being used. The design of the blower is such that no moving parts are exposed. This is a very important safety feature that you should take into account whenever considering a rental. The blower unit must be located within ~50 feet of an electrical outlet and one outlet per blower in order to avoid short circuits which will cause the blower to shut off.

Q: What if it is windy or rainy on the day of my reservation?
reservation for another day. Rescheduling is based on availability for the day requested. If you feel that rain or wind is a concern, please bring this to our attention PRIOR to your moonwalk being delivered. No Refunds will be provided once the moonwalk is delivered.

Q: What do I do in the event that we receive unexpected rain or high wind during our rental?
A: Given the frequency of afternoon thundershowers and storms in our area, this is a valid concern. It is important to remember that the moonwalk’s blower is powered by electricity and that electricity and water don't mix well. If rain is encountered, ask everyone to quickly and calmly exit the moonwalk. Once it is emptied, unplug the blower and cover it if possible, and allow the unit to deflate. DO NOT USE THE UNIT IN THE RAIN OR HIGH WINDS! Once the weather has passed, plug the blower back in, allow the unit to inflate and have an adult dry the interior with a towel. This is very important, as the vinyl is very slippery when wet. Once dry, the moonwalk can be utilized again.

Q: What if I decided to move my party location after the moonwalk was delivered. Can I move the moon walk myself? i.e. from my backyard to park.
A: No. Some moonwalks weight more than 350 lb. and needs special handling and setup. In this case please call us and we will do this job for you for an extra charge.

Q: How safe are moonwalks?
A: As long as the safety rules are followed moonwalks are very safe. In fact, most accidents that arise from the use of moonwalks are a direct result of the renters not following the posted safety rules by allowing the unit to be overloaded, allowing the unit to be used in high winds, etc.

Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?
A: Yes. Click Here or you may contact us and we will send you a copy.

Q How many kids can safely bounce at once?
A: Depends on the size of the moonwalk and the bouncers, and this number will be shown on the moonwalk itself or you can ask us on delivery.

Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?
A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc. which can cost thousands of dollars. All of our safety rules will be presented to you when delivering also you can check them
on our website (Safety Tips).)
